St Phillips House was a five-storey office building located directly adjacent to the new Accident and Emergency (A&E) department at Whitechapel’s Royal London Hospital. This sensitive and high-risk project involved substantial asbestos removal and the complete dismantling of the building, all while ensuring minimal disruption to the live hospital environment. Working in close proximity to essential services, site teams faced numerous challenges including traffic management, noise control, and the protection of critical hospital access routes.
