Strategic demolition of the ‘Old Mecca Bingo’ in the heart of London — delivering precision within a populated area.

  • Duration: 5 Months

  • Project Type: Building Demolition and Clear Out

About this Project

The Old Mecca Bingo project in Shoreditch involved the demolition of a former entertainment venue located in a densely populated urban setting. The steel-framed structure featured external masonry and reinforced concrete elements. NCS was tasked with demolishing the building down to ground level, while retaining the basement perimeter walls. Post-demolition, excavations were backfilled using crushed arisings which were processed on site to minimise waste and disruption.
